British Bear Artist Awards 2004

On the 11th October 2004, we received a very big surprise through the post - the bears we had submitted to the British Bear Artist Awards 2004 had not come back with one nomination - but two !!!! We were totally gob-smacked at getting the nominations in both the categories we entered !!! We have five competitors in each Category, but here's hoping we do well !

Those attending the Hove Bear Show on December 5th will be able to see our entries. For all those not able to attend, here's some photos of the nominated bears. These bears will be available after the Hove show, please mail us for further information.

British Toymakers Guild membership

In April of 2004, we were notified that the bears we had submitted for examination to the British Toymakers Guild has passed their inspection, and we were invited to join the Guild. The Guild has been around since 1955, and focuses on excellence in toymaking, as opposed to the lower-quality mass-produced items. We are very pleased to be a member of this body (recognised by, among others, the Dept. of Trade & Industry and the British Standards Institution), and that the quality of our designs and workmanship is recognised at a high level.
